Jamba Juice was looking for ways to update the brand to be more culturally relevant. They wanted to find an authentic way to leverage social media and word of mouth. What did they have that could be engaging beyond the walls of the store?

We took inventory of their brand assets and came upon boxes of unused screen-printed banana costumes. We had a hunch that these costumes, with the right type of character and energy, could go beyond the store to wherever there were people and spread Jamba’s happy optimism interactively.

This video gives validation to our hunch about the cultural currency of a Jamba Juice “banana-man” and the potential for the brand to be talked about in tags and postings. Notice how many folks simply want to have a spontaneous moment of fun and how many people are eager to capture the fun to share with others.
